Dharan a beautiful multicultural town surrounded by hills at north, east and west and thick forest of char kose jhadi in the south. Great change in altitude from 305 to700 m at a distance of 4km.its a gateway to the hilly areas. Culturally rich and home of multi ethnic society’s .Temperate climate clean, beautiful well managed town are some features of Dharan city. Temples and places of great importance in hindu culture are present.
Places of attraction in Dharan are Bhedetar (Hillspot), Barahakshettra, Koshi Tappu wildlife Reserve, Bishnupaduka, Shivajatta etc.
Other popular spots in Dharan are the temples of Pindeshwori,Budhasubba,Dantakali ,panchakanya etc. Parks like Hariyali park, Yalambar park etc are present . Dharan is too a gateway to Dhankuta, Taplegunj, Kumbakarna himal,Kanchanjunga himal , Makalu varun national park, Arun valley, Tinjure-Milke (rhododendron protection Area), Gupha lake, hyatrung fall, and sabha pokhari. These too add to Dharan as a tourist center.
About BPKIHS
B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) was established on January 18, 1993 and works as an autonomous Health Science University in Nepal. This Institute is envisaged as one of the finest examples of Indo-Nepal Co-operation. The Health Ministers of the two countries signed the Indo-Nepal agreement for establishment of BPKIHS on the auspicious day of Mahashivaratri (March 10, 1994).
This University is named after Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala, Nepal's visionary leader in social upliftment, firm believer of National Reconciliation and National Integration. Situated in Dharan in the hilly slopes sprawled over an area of about 700 acres, the University has a clean pollution free environment, and water supply and electricity supply round the clock.
The BPKIHS Teaching Hospital has 700 beds as well established major clinical and basic sciences departments. The Institute has a separate complex for College of Dental Surgery with state of the art equipment and modern technologies.

Weather:
Very pleasant and charming all round the year. Around 20-25 degree Celsius temperature at the month of February, so light cotton clothes are favourable.
Letter of Invitation:
The conference secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to facilitate obtaining grant or VISA for participation in the conference. However, this does not imply any financial support towards expenses for attending the conference, such as registration, travel and hotel accommodation.

How to reach Dharan?
Venue site, BPKIHS Dharan, by Rail is (a) Approx 100 Km from Siligudhi India and (b) Approx 40 Km from Jogbani Bihar, India by road. And by Air the venue site can be visited from Bagdogra Airport India (Approx 100 Km), also Kathmandu International Airport and Biratnagar (Domestic Airport) approx 40 Km road drive connect to Dharan, the venue site. (Bagdogra Airport is conected to major cities of India).
